Vintage metal egg crate that was used to deliver fresh eggs through the postal office. It measures 13" long, 7" wide and 6" high and is marked 3 DOZEN EGGS on the front, FRAGILE EGGS on the top, ORIGINAL on the back and EGGS on both sides. The top has 2 open slots, one for the address label that is put on a cardboard insert inside and one for the postage stamp. The inside has 3 layers with 18 individual tin and cardboard holders on each layer. Six egg holders are attached in each row. The top closes with a push pin and still works.
